The Standards and Technical Services Department is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Standards, Quality Management Systems, Norms, Policies, and practices for the healthcare sector (Public and Private) and regulation of this sector for the Ministry of Health, Guyana. Currently, the Health Facilities Licensing Act 2007 and Its Regulations 2008 are being implemented in health facilities in Guyana.
