As part of ongoing preparations for the construction of the New Amsterdam General Hospital, the Ministry of Health today held a Concept Design Workshop with technical personnel to outline the layout and design of the hospital campus. During the workshop, Minister of Health, Hon Dr Frank Anthony joined discussions that focused on the design and infrastructure of the new hospital in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne). This cutting-edge facility will feature five operating theatres, including one dedicated solely to cardiac surgeries. It will offer 24-hour accident and emergency services and will be equipped with advanced technology such as digital X-rays, CT scanners, and other modern medical equipment and amenities.
