Yesterday, the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony accompanied by Human Resources Manager, Ms Tomicka Noel, met with the implementation team to finalise preparations for the launch of the six Regional hospitals under the ‘Operations Go Live’ initiative.
The meeting also saw prospective heads of departments for the New Diamond and New Enmore Regional Hospitals.
As part of the proceedings, the Minister led a walk-through of both facilities to showcase the state-of-the-art medical equipment, modern wards, and a wide range of departments and services available at these hospitals.
The Diamond and Enmore Regional Hospitals, set to be commissioned shortly, represent a significant step towards decentralising quality healthcare in Guyana. These facilities will offer advanced diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic services to meet the growing needs of the population.
