The Ministry of Health’s Disability and Rehabilitation Services, in partnership with Northwell Health, today hosted a one-day Neurological Seminar aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare workers in the field of neurology.
The seminar, attended by 45 healthcare professionals, covered key areas including stroke management, traumatic brain injury, early identification of neurological disorders, spasticity, and other critical topics. Participants gained valuable insights and practical techniques to improve patient care and outcomes in these specialised areas.
Northwell Health’s representatives shared global best practices and innovative strategies for managing complex neurological cases, providing participants with cutting-edge tools to integrate into their daily practice.
The Ministry of Health remains dedicated to fostering partnerships that contribute to the development of Guyana’s healthcare system and the well-being of its citizens. With initiatives like these, healthcare providers are better equipped to tackle the challenges associated with neurological conditions, ensuring improved access to specialised care across the country.
