Health Ministry hosts Mental Health Workshop for Public Sector Employees

The Mental Health Unit of the Ministry of Health hosted a one-day workshop focused on Mental Health in the Workplace for public sector employees.

The session brought together 50 participants from several key agencies, including the Guyana Oil Company (GUYOIL), Guyana Power and Light (GPL), and the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) under the Ministry of Agriculture.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Mark Constantine, Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychological Services within the Mental Health Unit, along with other members of the MHU team.

This initiative marks the first in a series of upcoming workshops aimed at promoting mental well-being and resilience among Guyana’s public sector workforce.
