(Georgetown, – November 12, 2025) – The Honourable Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, today had a courtesy visit from Ms Jean Kamau, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Guyana, at his Brickdam office. Dr Kim Ava Dickson, PAHO/WHO Representative in Guyana, also attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on key areas of cooperation, including the national HIV response, mental health, and suicide prevention initiatives, as well as upcoming changes in the UN Country Team configuration, particularly relating to UNAIDS. Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing public health in Guyana in line with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
