The Honourable Minister Dr Frank Anthony, accompanied by Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Narine Singh, and other senior directors attached to the Ministry of Health, met with the European Union (EU) Mission to assess Guyana’s health sector and discuss collaborative opportunities in preparation for an upcoming EU-funded project.
The meeting aimed to evaluate the health sector’s current state, identify key stakeholders, and design a strategic programme that will focus on three priority areas, human resources, medical research, and regulatory reforms.
Among those present were Charlotte De Grauwe, Programme Officer, delegation of the European Union to Guyana and Allisson Kelley, European Union Health Expert.
