The Minister today delivered remarks at the closing ceremony of the Multisectoral and Stakeholder Consultation, hosted by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat in partnership with the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO).
The event, which commenced yesterday, focused on shaping a new Subregional Strategy to guide PAHO’s initiatives in alignment with the Caribbean Cooperation in Health (CCH) framework.
In his address, the Minister praised the team for distilling complex health topics into actionable recommendations.
“I am very pleased that you have managed to simplify a range of complex issues, providing clear recommendations that allow us to move forward,” he stated.
He further underscored the importance of holding regular discussions on health-related challenges impacting various populations across the region.
The Minister Dr Anthony encouraged attendees to prioritise implementation, transitioning from conceptual planning to tangible action.
The meeting brought together PAHO/WHO representatives from CARICOM member states alongside executive officers from affiliated agencies, fostering collaboration to enhance health outcomes across the Caribbean.
