Functions of Council

  1. Regulate Pharmacy Practice:

   – Ensure that pharmacy practice aligns with the regulations outlined in the relevant acts.

  1. Establish Standards:

   – Set, maintain, and improve standards for pharmacy practice.

  1. Promote Professional Ethics:

   – Foster a culture of professional ethics among members of the pharmacy profession.

  1. Disseminate Information:

   – Share relevant literature and information related to the pharmacy profession.

  1. Continuing Education:

   – Conduct mandatory continuing education sessions for practicing pharmacists.

  1. Internship Program:

   – Administer an internship program for pharmacists, practicing pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy interns.

  1. Registration:

   – Register pharmacists, practicing pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and pharmacy interns.

  1. Other Duties:

   – Perform any other necessary duties in fulfilling its functions.
