With the focus of providing high-quality health care to all Guyanese, the Government of Guyana continues to make significant investments into the development of modern facilities with the Enmore Regional Hospital among one out of six undergoing construction.
The Enmore Regional Hospital being the first of its kind, will take on tertiary care as it will be equipped with the amenities to provide excellent service to patients. As a 65,000 square feet facility, this hospital will consist of a 24-hour Accident and Emergency Department, a fully equipped fast pace Laboratory, and advanced Imaging Services. It will also have both outpatient and inpatient facilities with comfortable accommodations and two modern operating theatres that will be staffed with highly trained medical professionals, to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
The Government intends to train and employ a significant number of healthcare professionals to provide world-class medical services to the people of Guyana. With smooth progress being made, the Enmore Regional Hospital is expected to be fully operational by early 2025.
